Getting There & Driving Directions

DRIVING GUESTS

EVERGREEN LODGE

33160 Evergreen Rd, Groveland, CA 95321

For the smoothest and least windy drive, head north on I-405 and I-5, then take CA-99 North through MERCED. From there, exit at Franklin Rd and continue on Hwy 59 North. Follow La Grange Rd, CA-132 East, and Greeley Hill Rd, which connects you to CA-120. This will take you straight into Yosemite and directly to EVERGREEN LODGE. The total drive is about 7–8 hours, depending on traffic and your starting point.

Plan to arrive by 6:00 PM on Friday to allow time for check-in and settling in before the Welcome Drinks & Desserts at 7:30 PM at the John Muir House.

FLYING GUESTS

Most guests have already booked their flights, but for those still finalizing plans, the closest and most convenient airports are Sacramento (SMF), San Francisco (SFO), and Oakland (OAK). Each offers a scenic 2.5–3 hour drive to Evergreen Lodge via the Merced route, which is the smoothest and least windy option. Evergreen Lodge sits just off Highway 120 on the western border of Yosemite, providing direct access to Yosemite Valley, Tuolumne Meadows, and other incredible parts of the park. While limited public transportation options exist (Amtrak or YARTS), you’ll need to arrange a RENTAL CAR to reach the lodge and to move around comfortably during the weekend.
